A rare antique original copper plate engraving depicting London's Highgate (known then to be in Middlesex). This antique is from a wider series of original London views from the 1700s that we acquired for our archive. Hand framed in an atmospheric blue red colourblock frame with a delicate terracotta accent.

This charming scene is from an 18th century traveller's account of life at a time of rapid expansion and exploration around the world. Parts of London today used to be much more rural and these beautiful images provide snapshots of life over 200 years ago.

Hand framed in a modern tonal style to add balance to the intricate illustration.

For UK delivery only.
