Triple-mounted Shell Pairs

This product is unavailable

A pair of reprints set in triple accent mounts and based on a series of engravings from the 1600s. The original engravings of these prints were created by an Italian scholar who published the earliest practical illustrated guide for shell collectors, during the 17th century.

Both shells are framed in olive green frames and mounted in a tier of white, dark brown and toffee mounts, offset with a weighted bottom. This artwork is professionally printed on specialist eco fine art paper - Hahnemühle Hemp - which has a slightly textured surface, ideal for reproducing depth and detail. Our reprints are glazed with Artglass for its UV filtering and anti-reflective properties.

All our reproduction collections are limited in number and originate from antiques specially sourced by Petri Prints.
