The 18th Century Dogs

A reprint series of dogs created especially for animal lovers. Based directly on very rare hand coloured antique engravings from the 1700s brought into our own collection. This series contain a mixture of small and large dogs chosen from breeds that existed in the 18th century (a Sheepdog,  a Hound, a Bichon Frisé, a Husky, a Löwchen or Little Lion and a Pointer).

Hand framed with Artglass and set in Off White Linen or Tea Green mounts with aged ebony beaded mouldings. The Tea Green is a beautiful new mount colour we've recently sourced - and is a soft, dusky blue/green shade, chosen to compliment the turquoise decorative borders surrounding each dog.

To give a sense of relative scale, these framed prints are a touch larger compared to other reprint collections on our website.

Available as a full set of 6, a curated set of 4, or singles. The beauty of sets is that they can be arranged as tight (or loose) as you like. But to give you an idea of set dimensions- the full pictured set arranged with small gaps between the frames, might take up about 100 x 75cm on the wall.

All our reprint collections are limited in number and originate directly from antiques personally sourced by Petri Prints.
