Wine & Champagne Miniature Maps

A pair of miniature french maps, depicting locations within the Champagne region and Loire Valley (known for its great wines). The originals of these reprints were published as decorative playing cards in the 1800s. The maps link each geographical location to Paris - with a unit of lieue, an old French measurement of length.

Each reprint is hand-framed in a weathered Burgundy moulding, with an oatmeal linen mount and soft blue accent border. These are available as singles or a pair - and would be perfect for anyone with an appreciation for French history, Champagne or wine.

The wine map, titled Berry, was a former historical province situated at what we'd now consider the eastern end of the Loire Valley. This map includes Sancerre and Beaulieu, both by the Loire River - as well as Les Aix, Saint Just and Saint-Florent, located near to Bourges.

All our reprint collections are limited in number, hand framed, glazed with Artglass -  and originate from antiques specially sourced by Petri Prints.
