A beautiful Spanish mid century citrus crate label. These labels were historically pasted on the ends of wooden crates packed with oranges and lemons. The crates were shipped via the railway system to be sold in the local markets. The local artists who were commissioned to design these types of labels were not often paid well and the label system was largely phased out after the 1950s.
