The Red-Framed Fish

£685.00

A striking series of black and white fish reprints, directly based on rare antique engravings from the 1810s (compiled in London as part of a formative arts and sciences encyclopaedia). Our fish collection includes a wide variety of species from mackerel and gurnard - to zebrafish and pufferfish.

Each print is framed in a soft off white mount with a celadon green accent. And set in ruby red bobbin frames which are hand made in Italy with a charming painterly, rustic surface. The red is close in shade to F&B's 'Rectory Red'.
