A beautiful series of antique original shell engravings from the 1600s. These studies were made by an Italian scholar who published the earliest practical illustrated guide for shell collectors during the 17th century.

The shells are decoratively set in off white double-aperture mounts (mounts with two window openings), with a soft stone-green accent border surrounding each engraving. Framed in delicate gold and red-rust moulding and glazed with Artglass.

The recipient of this set will receive a hand written About your Artwork card with the artwork details.

For UK delivery only.
