The Ship

£135.00

A gallant ship print directly based on an antique original French engraving from the 1700s documenting ship designs.

The 18th century saw significant advancements in the formal documentation of ship construction, moving towards more detail illustrations and blueprints. These served as critical reference materials for builders, sailors and engineers, preserving designs for future voyages.

Hand framed to balance the hues of blue and red within the print, in an earthy linen mount with an aquatic blue accent border and set in a rustic reddish brown open-grain moulding.

This piece would work well in a study, children's bedroom, kitchen or sitting room.
