The Wine Region Views (Burgundy)
A beautiful series of views depicting locations within France's Burgundy region, directly based on antique engravings from the 1700s. These scenes capture the landscapes that shaped the region's wine culture with villages, vineyards, châteaux, and farmlands forming the backdrop to its connection to wine making.
The Views:
-
Château de Chagny: A view of a château set within fields between Burgundy's notable Beaune and Chalon where both aristocratic estates and rural land supported the area's wine trade.
-
Vineyards of Meursault: A view of vineyards near the village of Meursault, reflecting the early shaping of the terroir behind one of Burgundy’s most celebrated white wines.
-
View of Autun: A view of this historic hilltop Autun - a regional hub linked to the surrounding wine-producing areas of the Côte d’Or.
-
Château de Coraboeuf: A beautiful château and landscape near Beaune, Burgundy's wine capital - depicting cattle in the foreground and fertile fields in the distance.
Hand framed in a series of mount colours inspired by wine making: bottle green, rich navy, earthy linen and red. Finished with a curved-profile gold moulding.
