A fun and decorative botanical collection directly based on food ingredient botanical engravings from the early 1800s. Plants include saffron, horseradish, mustard, bay, thyme, capers, onion and asparagus.
Our series has been specially designed with an ink-blue printed splatter-border (inspired by Italian Pugliese schizzato 'painted splatter' ceramics). The splatter patterns were first painted by hand by Rosie, before being carefully added to the botanical reprint artwork prior to professional printing on our fine art paper.
We wanted this collection to feel both traditional and ornate whilst still being vibrant and fun. Each botanical is hand framed with Artglass and set in a soft textured mount with an Italian gold-leaf tiered moulding.
