The Fraktur (Folk Art) Trio

£375.00

A colourful collection directly based on 1800s antique folk art gouache paintings depicting a bird, tulip and tulip vase arrangement. Fraktur is a sought-after, naïve style of folk art originating in Europe during the 1500s, and brought to America by Pennsylvania Dutch settlers. Art from this movement was characterised by its vibrant colours and motifs of birds, flowers, hearts and angels.

Our collection is hand framed in beautiful brown tortoise style mouldings - reminiscent of how many of these paintings would have been historically framed. And set in a series of linen mounts with vibrant blue, scarlet or mustard accent mounts.

Prints are available as a full set of three, pairs (see code below) or singles.
