The Vineyard and Brewery

£260.00

A striking pair of wine and beer themed reprints depicting a traditional working vineyard and brewery. Directly based on two miniature antique engravings originating from a publication in the 1600s which was known for its depiction of 17th century professions and trades.

The wine illustration shows a man pouring a freshly harvested basket of grapes into a barrel, while his colleague treads on the grapes in another container nearby. In the distance, other men and women can be see harvesting grapes from the vineyard which rolls over hilly terrain.

The brewery illustration depicts a man pouring beer from a large pewter jug into kegs. Behind is a loading bay where a boat is moored waiting to transport barrels of beer.

These prints have been kept characterfully small like their antique counterparts and framed in a dramatic colourblock style, with a generous sage green double mount and closely matching green frame.

Available as a pair or singles and glazed with Artglass.
